Angular apps built new, or upgraded without stopping work. Angular development services: new apps, AngularJS migrations and step-by-step upgrades from Angular 8 to current versions, tests, CI and hand-over included.
We build Angular applications and bring old ones up to date. For new work that means standalone components, signals, typed forms and a build pipeline your team can run. For existing apps it means moving AngularJS or Angular 8 code to a supported version one step at a time, with the app in use throughout. Our Angular work includes a five-app university ERP suite, HR and hospital applications, and new features on a live AngularJS base.
Why teams usually call us. The app is stuck on an old version It runs on AngularJS or Angular 8 to 12. AngularJS support ended in 2021, Angular supports each major for 18 months, and every security advisory turns into a debate about what can be patched.
A rewrite was quoted and never finished Someone proposed starting again from scratch. Months later the old app is still the one in use and the new one covers half the features.
Builds are slow and fragile The project uses the old webpack builder, TSLint and Protractor, and only one developer knows how to get a clean production build.
Nobody wants to touch the shared module One SharedModule imports everything, bundles keep growing, and changing a component risks breaking a screen nobody tested.
What we build and fix. New Angular applications Portals, dashboards and internal tools built with standalone components, signals, typed reactive forms, lazy-loaded routes and the esbuild-based application builder.
Version upgrades from Angular 8 onwards One major version per branch with ng update, never skipping versions, including the View Engine to Ivy move, RxJS 7 and Angular Material's MDC-based components.
AngularJS to Angular migration A hybrid app with ngUpgrade so AngularJS and Angular run side by side, screens migrated route by route, and AngularJS removed when the last one moves.
Standalone and control flow migration NgModules converted with Angular's schematics in reviewed passes, *ngIf and *ngFor moved to @if and @for, and functional guards and interceptors.
Dependency audit and replacement Every third-party library checked against your target version. Abandoned ones are replaced or brought into the codebase before they block an upgrade.
Testing and tooling TSLint replaced with ESLint, Protractor replaced with Playwright or Cypress, unit tests moved from the deprecated Karma runner to Vitest or Jest, and all of it run in CI.
Performance and SEO Smaller lazy chunks, deferred loading with @defer, image optimisation, and server-side rendering or prerendering where pages need to be indexed.
APIs and backend work The same team builds the FastAPI, Django or Node.js services behind the interface, so frontend and API changes ship together.
Engagement options Upgrade project A fixed-scope project to move one or more apps from AngularJS or an old Angular version to a supported one.
Codebase and dependency audit Version-by-version upgrade plan Upgrades shipped to staging at each step Hand-over notes and a session with your team New Angular build A fixed-scope project for a new portal, dashboard or internal tool, delivered in two-week increments.
Discovery and screen-level scope Design, components and API integration Tests and a CI pipeline from the first sprint Deployment to your hosting with documentation Dedicated Angular team Monthly engineering capacity for teams with an ongoing roadmap or several apps to keep current.
Developers working in your repositories Feature work and upgrades in the same sprints Code review and shared conventions Scope and priorities set by you each month How it works Codebase review We read the code, the package.json and the build setup, and list each dependency with the Angular versions it supports.
Written plan You get the order of work, what each step changes, what needs manual fixes and a fixed-scope proposal.
Build or upgrade in increments Work lands on staging every two weeks. Each upgrade step is built, tested and clicked through before the next starts.
Hand-over and support Code, pipeline configuration and notes stay in your accounts. Ongoing support or the next upgrade can go on a retainer.
Why Infigini We know old and new Angular We have built a five-app university ERP suite on Angular 8, HR and hospital apps on Angular 16, and Angular 13 features on top of a running AngularJS base.
We publish Angular libraries pp-editor and pp-seo are our own standalone Angular libraries on npm, so we know how packaging and peer dependencies behave across versions.
No big-bang rewrites We upgrade and migrate in small shipped steps. If a rewrite is genuinely cheaper for part of the app, we say so in writing and explain why.
Full stack, one team We also build the APIs, databases and deployment pipelines, so an upgrade that touches the backend or hosting does not stall.

Frequently asked questions Can you upgrade our Angular 8 app to the latest Angular version? Yes. We move one major version at a time with ng update, because skipping versions skips the automatic code migrations. Each step also needs the Node.js and TypeScript versions that release supports. The hardest step is usually the move to Ivy, since some older libraries stop working. We audit those first, replace abandoned ones, and ship each version to staging before starting the next.
How do you migrate from AngularJS to Angular? Usually as a hybrid app. ngUpgrade lets AngularJS and Angular run together, so we migrate screens or routes one at a time while the rest keeps working. Shared services are bridged in both directions. When the last AngularJS screen has moved, we remove AngularJS and its build setup. For small apps, a straight rebuild can be cheaper, and we will tell you if so.
Is it cheaper to rewrite an old Angular app from scratch? Rarely, for an app people use every day. A rewrite has to rebuild every feature, including undocumented business rules, before it can replace anything. An incremental upgrade keeps delivering while it runs. We do recommend rebuilding individual screens when the old code is beyond repair, and we set out that trade-off in the plan.
How long does an Angular version upgrade take? It depends on how many versions you are behind, the number of apps and how many third-party libraries need replacing. The dependency list decides the pace more than Angular itself. After the codebase review we give you a written plan with the steps in order and a fixed scope, rather than a guess before we have seen the code.
How are Angular development services priced? Upgrade projects and new builds are quoted as a fixed price after we review the codebase or scope the screens. Ongoing work is a monthly fee for a dedicated team or a support retainer, based on the hours and coverage you need. Send us the repository or a description and we reply within one business day, with an estimate once we have seen the code.
Will our app keep working during the upgrade? Yes. Each step happens on its own branch, is built and tested, and goes to staging for a click-through before it reaches production. Feature work can continue alongside, and we plan merges so your developers are not blocked by a long-running upgrade branch.
Can you work with our in-house Angular developers? Yes. We work in your repositories and pipelines, follow your review process and write down the conventions we introduce, such as standalone components or the new control flow. Many teams use us to do the upgrade and then take over feature work themselves.
Do you only do frontend work? No. We build the APIs and databases behind Angular apps too, using FastAPI, Django or Node.js with PostgreSQL or MongoDB, and set up hosting and CI/CD. That helps when an upgrade also means changing authentication, API contracts or the build pipeline.
